biographical info
The Glads are a rock 'n' roll combo from Ottawa, Canada. They live in Centertown.
The Glads practice in the basement of Birdman Sound. This is also where they purchase the records from which they steal their riffs. The Glads have been playing live since Canada Day of 2001.
Jim Sproull plays an electric guitar in The Glads. He wears nice slacks, has a good sense of humour and a twin brother named John. Jim and John both play in another Centertown band called RunStopRestore.
Nathaniel Hurlow is the bass player. He provides many cool riffs and is quiet and friendly. He is avid about rock 'n' roll music. When not on stage, Nathaniel sports nifty glasses. He is also the bass player in the Golden Famile and the guitar player in The Fortunate Sons.
Patrick Shanks plays electric guitar and does most of the singing. He often wears waistcoats and is a fan of fuzz boxes. He has a nice old bass guitar that he plays as a sideman in The Halfmilers.
Drummer Tim Matthews uses Booster hair tonic and, when the roads are clear and free of ice, rides a Triumph motorcycle. An affable fellow, Tim is often up for a good time, which shows in his drumming style. Tim, along with Patrick, comprise the rhythm section of The Halfmilers, the backing band for the lovely Miss Casey Comeau.
Those are The Glads. That was a little bit of information about them. Perhaps you could come out to one of their shows sometime. It will be loud, but hopefully, it will be enjoyable. You dig?
