biographical info
In
September 2003, at “Grande-Riviere” Highschool, The Autumn played their
first gig which brought four unique musicians together to create a
band. Their music consists of alternative rock, drawing influence from
groups such as: Our Lady Peace, Oasis, The Tragically Hip, Coldplay,
Jet, Foo Fighters, etc. All members live in Aylmer, Quebec, Canada, and
are enthusiastic about the band, music and life. Their songs mostly
reflect a positive message and evoke powerful feelings from joy and
love to anger and sorrow. "The Autumn" metaphorically illustrates the
many beautiful colors of music and the birth season of the band. It
also images an initiation of change before the robust and preparative
months of winter; much like the change needed in the world today before
the long period of betterment. The Autumn has played at a variety of
venues in the Ottawa and Gatineau area, such as: The National Arts
Centre (NAC), fourth stage, the Emergenza Festival (including bars :
Barrymores, Rainbow, Babylon, Mavericks and Cafe Decuf), Heritage
College (many for charitable funds), Sherbrooke's battle of the bands,
Grande-Riviere High school shows, Belmont community centre, Cegep de
l'Outaouais, and are eager to add much more to the list. To listen to
