Formed in 2010, the band's consists of Simon Lock (vocals, guitar, keyboard, drum programming), Jodi Kane Hoesing (keyboards), Adam Gasten (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Chris Brewer (keyboard, sampler, vocals).
Simon Lock formed Terrace in 2010. A retired house DJ and music lover, Lock decided that he needed to take a stab at making music that didn't obey the fickle music "scene" as it were. There appeared to be too many music genres, and sub-genres when it came to Electronic music. So, the intent was clear... Make straight up dance music that would appeal to even the most discerning music lover. After a few personnel changes, namely the departure of vocalist Isis Graham in the spring of 2012, Terrace's current line-up is ready to carry out this mission to nothing but success.
"As a band, we have one main goal, which is... to create and play unpretentious dance music that pays no attention to current fads. Rather than follow the rest of the herd, we pull strongly from our deep roots in House Music, Techno, Brit Pop, Post Punk, and Ambient and throw it all together in one ear pleasing mix."
"We infuse every song with our deep passion for music and really focus on making the track unique. It has to remind you of all the things you love about music and at the same inspire you to get on the dancefloor, close your eyes and let the music do the rest."
"We carry this energy and passion into our live performances. We hit the stage with the intent of making you move, dance, shake it, groove, jump and shout. And so far, our formula works pretty damn good."
Terrace released it's second EP Circuits in July 12, 2012. A remix EP is set for the fall of the 2012, with remixes by Canadian House Music legend Nick Holder (Toronto), jackin' house producer Jason Hodges (Toronto), Nordic Trax superstar Jon Delerious (Calgary) and drum and bass producer Dj Klippa (Uk). The band also plans to release their first full length album by Christmas 2012.
"Terrace reminds me of all the things I love about music. Great taste, less filling"
