Team Captain began in the late summer of 2006 with singer/songwriter Graham Tilsley. Graham got together with a couple of friends and fellow students from the Grant MacEwan music program and decided to record a three song demo with local Producer/Engineer Tom Kerr (Guitarist for the disbanded Wolfnote). The band, consisting of Graham on guitar, Ajay Paterson on the bass, and Duran Ritz on the drums, felt that after the recording they needed a second guitarist to add more interest to the band's limitations as a live rock trio. They approached Calvin McElroy, another MacEwan music student, to fill such a role. The band is currently about to release a four song EP in November 2007.
