artist Taking Medication

     Taking Medication are an original band based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Crossing paths of numerous genre lines, Taking Medication can be described as quirky pop/rock with a sprinkling of country, a pinch of electronica, and a splash of rap to throw things off.

     At it’s origin, the band was a basement experiment involving the two founding members Bassie D, and Uncle Zygote. As ideas developed and chunks of sound became songs, the need for live performance emerged. At this point, the relentless drum beating machine Mike “All torso” Sine, and the Multi instrumentalist/vocalist Nathaniel “the Octopus” Sutton were added to the roster. The band has played numerous shows around their hometown including venues such as the Haven Social Cub, the Starlite Room, the Jet Nightclub, and the Rendevous Pub.

     Currently Taking Medication is actively playing and seeking live shows to promote their self titled debut CD. The band is also in the midst of recording new songs for a project due to be completed by the spring of 2010. Taking Medication is active, driven, and determined.
