biographical info
Trigger Incident is a frenetic 4-piece rock band based in Barrie Ontario.Drawing on influences as diverse as, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Beatles and Elliott, Trigger Incident’s sound is nothing short of a staccato machine gun riot, a rolling roar of super-amplification and syncopation, inviting comparison with the Mars Volta, Tool and Primus. The band are building an ever increasing live following with their well crafted songs, powerful performances and mesmerizing stage presence.
Formed during the winter of 2004, Trigger Incident’s tight sound is by no means accidental. Brett Caswell is an accomplished vocalist and guitarist. Evan Rosevear has honed his skills in noise-rock, ska and blues groups. Looming large behind a bank of pedals, Lee Burmania creates many of the atmospheric early Floyd-like effects heard on Trigger Incident’s debut demo disc. Rounding out the quartet is Bryan Lake, the drummer and the backbone of Trigger Incident’s sound.
Live performances are where Trigger Incident are making their biggest impact. Brett’s almost trance like stage presence leads the band through the eye of a potential hurricane of carefully controlled chaos, a soundscape of pure unadulterated emotion. With enduring intensity the band remain tightly metronomic and focused, as the audience are led with almost childlike rapture through the power, the ambience and the schizophrenic reverberation of their set.
