biographical info
During late night drinking sessions while on the road touring withAn Acoustic Sin, Steve and Daniel talked about writing some songs that would creatively satisfy them. With An Acoustic Sin screeching to a halt in early 2001, it was time to get to work. For about a year, Steve and Daniel would get together once a week for an all night writing session (Steve's wife loved the 4 am vocal tracking). When it was all said and done, the guys had about a dozen solid tracks.
It was now time to figure out who would be the best engineer to record them. They had considered Fredericton-based producer Lloyd Hanson, with whom they had previously worked on the last AAS record, but while listening to some recordings local engineer Danny Bourgeois was working on, the choice was simple - he was the man for the job. Tracy Starr entered the studio in September 2003 and began work on their first album.
We now find ourselves in the latter half of 2004. The guys are putting the finishing touches on their debut album set for release early next year, and it's expected to be a serious audible assault with all the "snot" a real rock record should have, so if you're craving something other then this watered down brand of "Guitar Rock" we've been hearing on the airwaves lately, and you just want to raise your F**KIN' fist again, check out Tracy Starr!
Cheers.
