It has been a long journey for Jeffrey Addison and Gavin Rough of TMDP. After spending the last decade creating music together, the collaborative electronic production duo are set to release their debut ‘TMDP’ on Toronto’s YYZ Records.
Determined to set themselves apart from the standard laptop produced electronic music, Addison and Rough have crafted a unique fusion of disco and electro stemmed from their love of melody and song writing. Drawing on influences from no genre in particular, TMDP have created a sound that has become distinctively their own.
Their self-titled debut “TMDP” is a collection of songs that flow seamlessly together to create a complete listening experience. Much different from their dance-floor driven live performances, fans can expect an introspective, well-crafted album of dance-floor pop songs as well as melody driven slow jams.
TMDP take pride in the improvisational element of performing live and turn the stage into their private studio. To date, they’ve quickly become recognized as one of Toronto’s hardest working electronic acts and were recently voted #13 of 25 on Now Magazine Watch List for 2009. Spring 2009 will see TMDP embark on a nationwide tour of Canada as they prepare for world domination.

WHAT THEY SAID:
“This Toronto duo composed of Jeffrey Addison and Gavin Rough have been steadily building buzz all year, but they’ve slavishly worked on this project for much longer. Their years of effort are reflected in a pristine debut that’s as catchy as it is well crafted. These guys are too good not to blow up.” – Now Magazine Album Review 4/5
“It's the first album in a while that made me listen to it a second time through as soon as it finished. Analog synths and live guitars blend in perfectly with contemporary cut edit techniques that make it sound just as timeless as it does cutting edge.” – Blog TO Album Review
