biographical info
The Other Thing was born in May 2001 and have done their best to retain an ever-rotating cast of members and memorabilia. After a brief identity crisis in December 2002, it was decided that the band had boiled down to an ever-present two-piece. George Agetees on drums and Evan Light on Moog & bass. In April 2003, they recorded The A-Bomb-A-Nation, a 18-track cd and the Bad Common Sense mini-cd. It was launched with great fanfare and fun on May 30, 2003 at Casa del Popolo with American Devices and The Unireverse filling out the evening. The A-Bomb-A-Nation charted #28 in Canada in July 2003. On September 7, 2003, The Other Thing and an extended lineup joined Damo Suzuki on stage at Casa del Popolo. On September 20, they celebrated their birthdays at Barfly with Rick Trembles and other Concerned Mothers of Canada. On February 22, 2004, they launched their new full-length cd Tumbleweeds and a new Distroboto mini-cd.
