biographical info
For four years (2001-2005) Edmonton's Morellos brought a much needed amount of pure determination and youthful energy to the city's punk scene, fusing blues based chord changes and song structures with hardcore's violent, reckless sensibility. The Morellos were about the rawness of rocknroll, and understood that the best bands need no gimmicks and no trendy fashion statements to carry their songs - the best bands need a guitar, a bass, a drum set, and a heart full of passion and fury.
The Morellos decided to move on from punk rock in the summer of 2005, leaving behind two EPs and a history of legendary live shows in their name.
