biographical info

That displeasure is often associated with the geographical pressures of increasing urban expansion and modernity, and rapture with the delightful idiosyncrasies of rural living is not purely incidental. Nor is the juxtaposition of such feelings, often within the same song. Our sound is municipal, but so too is it intended to straddle notions of the popular. We dangle from tree limbs, warm ourselves with bonfires, and if at all, bathe in waterfalls. But so too must we commute to work, read metropolitan newspapers and search for meaning in largely standardized cultural products. It is our contention that this is becoming increasingly difficult, but The Jaguar Strip is not a political band. We pen songs to which one can steal from work. Our compositions are best suited to stumbling, drunken sprints through clouds of fireflies at twilight. The Jaguar Strip is belly-flopped, beer-blushed, bitch-slapped beet-red, and best experienced live. P.S. Graeme is the most handsome of them all.
