biographical info
The Craziest Punk Ska band out of Canada. Tearing apart stages since 1998, and the stereotype of ska punk bands having to be a goofy mix of Ska and Pop Rock that was so prevalent in the 90's. Mixing Punk, Ska, early Hardcore, Rockabilly and Garage Rock influences like no other band out there. They have seen trends in the "punk rock" genre come and go and have continued to stick to making the loud, aggressive music with a strong danceable backbeat that is their signature. Now what was for so long taboo in the eyes of purists and scenesters, younger bands are now picking up on the aggressive mix of Punk and Ska and creating their own styles out of it. The Heatskores have independently released 2 tapes and 1 full length CD. They have appeared on numerous compilations including Stomp Records "All-Skanadian Club 4", and have toured to the East Coast of Canada twice along with numerous shows throughout southern Ontario. They have shared the stage with bands such as Leftover Crack, the Dwarves, the Gadjits, Planet Smashers, Slackers, Against All Authority, and Bigwig to name a few.
Update: Dec. 30, 2007: "So after nine years ripping it up, lastnight we played our last show. It was a blast... thanks to everyone who loved us... we will never forget!"
