biographical info
. Embarking on a rigorous touring schedule that saw them play clubs, pubs, colleges, and universities, THE HEAT covered all of Ontario and were even invited South of the border to play a successful gig in Detroit. Gathering momentum and a solid fanbase of their own, THE HEAT soon found themselves sharing the stage with such indie rock luminaries as THE FLASHING LIGHTS, THE LOCAL RABBITS, and THE WEEKEND. Motivated by their success, THE HEAT got an extra boost of confidence in March 2001 when they received a grant from the Ontario Arts Council. The boys were certainly excited at the prospect of recording again and to top it all off, MATT MURPHY of THE FLASHING LIGHTS was itching to produce their record! Along with MURPHY, THE HEAT have finished their recording entitled "last sumer again" and it is now available on their website. www.theheatonline.com
