biographical info

Drawing upon diverse musical influences, The Dirj Experiment fuses them with searing, overdriven songs which smack the listener about the ears. Their sound is defined by a fusing, if not sometimes mashing, of synthesized and organic sounds. Chemical beats punctuated by rip-your-face-off guitars, searing synthesizer lines, bowel-moving bass and hooks that tear the meat from your bones form the foundation over which skate twisting melodies, guttural growls, staccato delivery and orchestrated harmonies. A musically imposing presence that rails against conventional categories and defies musical categorization, their sound retains a dark, familiar voice that is impossible to ignore. Anyone who has seen The Dirj Experiment perform knows there is only one word to describe the experience: intense. On stage, they explode in a melee of flailing limbs, sweat and instruments. It is not uncommon for the members to walk off stage sporting fresh cuts and bruises. This unbridled energy has earned them opening slots for acts such as 30 Seconds To Mars, The Exies and Project Wyze. The Dirj Experiment introduces a new breed of artist; one who embraces technology. In a time when the trend is to regress, these four individuals continue to explore and push the limits of technology. There's no mistaking the hold that The Dirj Experiment has on its ever-growing following.
