biographical info
The Corta Vita plays messy, angular rock music that borrows as much from bands like Shotmaker and Drive like Jehu as it does from Slint and Don Caballero.
The band has shared stages with a wide array of musicians including Grade, Small Brown Bike, Choke, Hot Little Rocket and The Plan to name a few. Feeling equally comfortable in more docile settings, The Corta Vita has also performed alongside quieter bands such as Snailhouse, The Paperbacks and Sixty Stories.
After only three short days at Sundae Sound with Dave Alcock (The New Grand, The Primrods, Chixdiggit) behind the board, The Corta Vita offer a frantic five-song CD EP, which is the best representation of their musical intentions to date. The CD, "Communication is Nothing Without Feedback," was released June 4, 2002 on Farway Records.
