The Bad Motels are a 3-piece band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Featuring ex-members of Monctons Pale Mary's, the Bad Motels excel at their version of stripped down, powerful indie-punk rock n' roll. Frontman Marc Johnson plays guitar and slings hard-hitting wails and crooning vocals into the mic, Dan Nightingale keeps the music on it's toes with strong and melodic bass playing, and Matt Blanchard rounds out the trio, dishing up an onslaught of thunderous, tight rhythms from behind the kit. Together, they make music influenced by bands like the Pixies, the Buzzcocks, The Velvet Underground, and the Dead Kennedys.
