biographical info
Why, the backstabbers country stringband, of course.
Formed in Toronto in 1997, this five piece acoustic band has chugged its way through Hogtown and beyond, picking up accolades from folk legend Mike Seeger, Canada's weekly Maclean's magazine, Toronto's NOW, Globe & Mail,
Star and the CBC. Taking their cue from the stringbands of the 20's and 30's, the boys perform all and sundry, mining the deep reserves of country music's past and bringing it into the future with their own upbeat originals. Whether they're leaning into a hard-driving fiddle stomper, or swaying to a sad and lonesome waltz, this band plays a hard, hell-bent style of authentic country music.
