From the epic serenity of her cozy bedroom come the acoustic/rock sounds of 17 year old Susie Forsyth. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta Susie possesses songwriting skills well beyond her years...and with the June 2009 release of her debut EP entitled "It Was Me", Susie Forsyth is turning heads. 

Having written hundreds of songs, Susie finally found herself in the studio for the first time to work on her debut EP. "I always wanted to be thought of as a songwriter first and foremost." says the up and comer, "songwriting is my passion and It's what I really concentrate on." Often compared to Michelle Branch and Grace Slick, Susie cites such legendary influences as; The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Juliet Simms. Her passion for songwriting started earlier than most artists. "I started writing lyrics when I was 10. I thought all singers had to write their own songs! When I was 13 I started playing guitar and that's when I really fell in love with music." Constantly performing and writing new material, her performance highlights include the Sled Island Festival and the World Skills Competition 2009.

Setting her sights on a Canadian tour and getting back in the studio to record more songs, this Canadian rock sweetheart isn't going anywhere anytime soon. With everything going her way, Susie Forsyth's only problem is choosing which of her four guitars to write with next.
