biographical info
Out of a struggle to create one thing, something else was born. Stand Alone Complex paints a masterful soundtrack of delicately crushing piano explorations on a background of moody and yet sexy beats and vibrating strings and sounds.
From the arctic wasteland of Winnipeg, Canada, Stand Alone Complex reflects the futility of progress and the joy and of rock bottom in its music.
Around since 2008, Stand Alone Complex has released one full-length album, Music for Suicides, and is entering the studio this July to record a classically inspired EP entitled, Too Far Gone to Be Concerned With the Affairs of Man. On record, the music of Stand Alone Complex is a journey, meant to be taken from start to finish.
Live shows range from solo performances of man and keyboard, to full band orchestrations. Video is often used to take the whole experience to another level. The songs, though electronic in nature, are left improvisatory, allowing the musicians involved to expand the songs and make them their own.
