biographical info
SNFU, one of the longest running, most popular Canadian punk rock acts are still going stronger than ever thanks to the leadership of vocalist Mr. Chi Pig and guitarist Marc Belke. To think of SNFU is to think of the undead. This zombie-like band continues to live, undeterred by mutations, popular opinion and whatever the flavour is this month. In the past two decades SNFU has entrenched a punk rock scene in Western Canada, ripped out thousands of shows around the world and recorded eight albums for some of punk rock's most influential labels. During that time SNFU witnessed punk rock transform itself from a reactive, extreme counterculture into a G-rated commodity. SNFU refuses to conform. In today's current climate of palatable, corporate, pop punk frontman Mr. Chi Pig still stands alone. He's not trying to sell you skateboard shoes; he wants to tell you about the world he sees - a dark place that's digestible with mordant sarcasm and severe wit. It seems his originality is needed now more than ever. On SNFU's ninth studio album, In The Meantime and In The Between Time, co-founders Mr. Chi Pig and guitarist Marc Belke continue where they left off with their trademark riffing and explosive energy.
