biographical info

Jim Warring and Jeffrey Rossetto first met at a dying poetry reading, in some clique-driven art centre in downtown St.Catharines, in 2000. The next year the two began recording Jim's spoken word poetry, set to improvised music, with some friends in Jim's apartment. The friends left, and by that time Jim had bought his first 4-track recorder, and so began an experiment; Jim and Jeffrey adding the spoken word poetry to musical (and non-musical) ideas that would fit the themes and subjects of Jim's words (and/or find words to match Jeffrey's ever changing musical/non-musical explorations). Over the next five years the casual collaboration soon evolved into a more serious project that became a band that is now SKITZO-TECH. They are on the way to releasing a (demo) debut album entitled "Sick Puppy", and the tracks featured on this profile are from the upcoming debut.

The Foundations of Absence

posted by Jeffrey Rossetto
Dante Blaquousa - Embracing the lack of design and control over his journey through the paradigms of human evolution. Every step dissolves each aspect of all of the senses. As these conventions of awareness cease to define and dictate realization, old foundations become apparent. Or the discovery of the absence of foundations reveals themselves. Each 'layer' of each aspect is neither finite nor infinite; it cannot be conceptualized by quantity or quality. His every step is a denial of the last one and an unaware prediction of the next one. Presence and its essence as movement and stillness both in and out of phase. Time yields itself away as it too is just another sense of the convention of a preconceived foundation of an evolution. Dante participates in the only constant left - re-evolution as awareness, as existence, one perpetual motion (or demotion?) exposed to the lack of the senses, to the absence of foundations if any at all. Escape is momentary, temporary from each denial to each following unprediction of the next one...   The Foundations of Absence.
