biographical info
Fredericton NB natives She Roars began as a band in late 2007 and has been making an impact with east coast audiences ever since. After seeing the band play live it is clear they have the type of energy and creativity that most bands dream of. Their ability to fuse infective, energizing pop melodies with the raw power of crowd pulsing punk rock has lead them to a sound that is equally daring in its approach as it is palatable to the mainstream public.
In 2008, the band released their first 5 song EP highlighting the band’s acoustic based brand of pop rock music and it was accepted greatly by local fans and their growing online community of listeners alike.
Through 2010 and early 2011 the band continued to see growth and toured much of the east coast and as far as Ontario. The year had them performing with notable acts such as Michou, The Motorleague, and The Junction as well as at festivals like St. Andrews’ Paddlefest, The Fundy Fog Festival, and The Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.
2011 will mark a year of great change for the band, as they are set to release their full length album “Companion” with much excitement. The album is a collection of 10 catchy and hard hitting songs that highlight the band’s passion for playing and writing music, while remaining a rock band capable of standing the test of time. She Roars will continue to tour, write and perform, winning over crowds with their clear love of the stage and their fist raising pop rock anthems.
