In 2006 the release of Philips’ third album “Everybody” earned Philips a spot in the Montreal Jazz festival, where the sold out crowd along side Grammy nominee Corinne Bailey Rae were taken aback by the fever and passion of Philips’ performance.

Taken from the pages of a Quincy Jones manual, Philips wrote and arranged a lush fifteen string orchestration and brass ensemble to create a wall of sound parallelled only by great soul recordings of the seventies.
