biographical info
"Celebrated singer and songwriter Ron Sexsmith gave up the solo life for a tad, pairing up with his drummer and cellist Don Kerr to create Destination Unknown. Referred to as the duo's "Everly Brothers" project, the album sees the two musicians experimenting with the type of vocal harmonies favoured by the popular ‘60s act.
Ron Sexsmith's name will be the one that garners the singing partners the most attention, but Don Kerr is a Canadian music star in his own right. Not only Sexsmith's long-time sticks man, Kerr has put his skills behind the kit to use for the likes of the Rheostatics, Gord Downie, Carolyn Mark, and Neko Case.
Originally intended as a small side-project, Sexsmith & Kerr never intended to release Destination Unknown through a label, but interest in the project proved too great. The 13-track record is due to get a domestic release in Canada in just a few weeks, hitting shelves on Tuesday, August 16th (2005)." - Soulshine.ca
