biographical info

Savoury is a four piece band, based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Formed in early 2009,  they've been busy writing, recording and playing live shows.  Their songs offer up a signature sound that blends rock, folk, pop, and alt-country.  Influences include Blue Rodeo, Tom Petty, Wilco, Neil Young, REM, Tragically Hip.
In October, Savoury released thier debut studio recording, "The Falling EP" featuring 6 original compositions .  They've benefited from commercial and college radio play and were chosen as a featured artist for the CBC show "Atlantic Airwaves".
Stephen Cooke of the Chronicle Herald says, "the band has grown into a purveyor of earthy electric tunes in the R.E.M. and Tom Petty mold, with lots of guitar hooks and a good ear for harmony."
