Sarah Kenyvn’s debut album, released June 2010, is a truly solo
effort. This multi-instrumentalist wrote, performed, arranged, produced,
engineered and mixed all the tracks in her home studio. The resulting
album is a collection of beautifully crafted songs, unique arrangements,
intelligent lyrics and emotionally engaging vocals.

born at home on Withrow Street in Toronto. Many people were
present, many pictures were taken. My sister was the first to hold me.
Grew
up in the country, had many invisible friends, saw fairies, played on
hay bails. My mother - a singer, my father - a writer, in their spare
time, and hearts.
Left home at 17 to work in
Zimbabwe. Traveled aimlessly. Started many things…
Worked for
non-profits, for corporations, for the government, for myself. Studied
Chinese medicine, environmental science, Buddhist meditation and the
human brain. Learned to dance, to fight, to stretch, to sew. Learned to
appreciate my mother’s breathing lessons.
Spent a
lot of time getting comfortable in my skin and the last 12 years making
this album.
