biographical info
It was some kind of strange fate that brought these two brilliant performers together to create the most unique act country music has ever seen. With the heart they put into every lyric, and a stage show like a three ring circus It’s easy to see why these two time Jack Richardson Music Award nominees have gained the momentum of a runaway freight train.
With the fall 2011 release of their debut music video WHISKEY DANCIN’, Sarah & Jeff show how the hard work and determination of over 500 performances in just three years can come together. Whiskey Dancin' is the title track from their first E.P. showcasing Sarah’s beautifully resounding vocals as she relates personally about unwinding from the drudgery of the working life. The video was filmed on a chicken farm off a dirt road in Melbourne Ontario. A town with a one stop shop, one stop sign and also the home of Sarah & Jeff.
Their performances at both the Jack Richardson Music Awards and London Music Award ceremonies received roaring applause, capturing the attention of major newspapers and landing the duo on the cover of SCENE Magazine.
Sarah & Jeff have been definite favorite at major festivals and events, taking no time at all for them to become one of the most requested supporting acts for established recording artists like Martina McBride, The Barenaked Ladies, Oakridge Boys, Elliot Brood, Tim Hus and Doc Walker. Fans and media marveled at the country duo with their unforgettable stage show and honest brand of hometown music.
It wasn't always about country for these two. Their strong roots in rockabilly, folk, punk and swing shine through in the backwoods swamp music they deliver.
"Well, we must be doing something right," says Jeff, whose charming voice and legendary stand-up bass playing is known to mesmerize their audiences. "There's at least a few people every show that come up after and say 'You made me like country music again.’" “It’s all about the fans.” says Sarah. “Seeing people of all ages and walks of life coming together reminds me why I picked up a guitar for the first time.”
Now with Whiskey Dancin’ within the reach of their eager fans, Sarah and Jeff ambitiously venture on open road ahead.
