biographical info

“This is like getting on a raving high-speed train without any stops, jackhammer drums, slashing guitars, colourful keyboards, centering on the rockabilly spirit of the 50’s, with excursions into echoey jangle of the 60’s and the New Wave 80’s. Propulsive rock and roll aerobics filtered through thrift-glam cool and psychedelic glory. A band that combines a vintage spirit and with bedazzling energy, unleashed as absolute joy. (LV, Exclaim! Magazine).......................................... The trail-blazing live shows that Sadie May Crash puts on have slowly built up a reputation for some of the most exciting in the city, showcasing a profound love for music and a kaleidoscopic array of influences injected into their songs. Ranging from Post-Punk to 60’s Psych and Surf, Theatrical Glam to Alternative Pop and it’s all been shook up by the band to make it completely their own. Exploding with reckless energy and showmanship yet insanely in sync with each other. The kinetic energy created is filled with such force and conviction it makes it almost impossible to turn away............................................... Cultivating in the heart of the music and culture scene of Toronto, these young brash spangly upstarts have created an eclectic mix of ear worm worthy songs that hold you with dark sincerity and inventive melodic power. The kind of honesty and passion that is rare to find in the convoluted world of rock star wannabe’s and indie cooler-than-thou elitists...

New Record In Sight!

With much anticipation we are extremely excited to announce that over the next few months we will be gearing up to head back into the studio to record a brand spankin’ NEW RECORD!!! We just finalized the studios that we’re going to be working in as well as with who. It will most likely be a 5 song EP, yet we are sifting through mountains of material. There are about 10-12 songs ready to be worked on as we speak. As a bonus, while we’re making the demos of the new songs we will also be POSTING them on our blog! Songs posted may or may not be included in the final selection that will be going on the record, but it would be extra cool if some did! So be sure to keep checking our blog for updates on the recording process…photos, demo tracks and videos. Don’t miss out! Also if you have been to any of our shows lately, you might have seen a new brightly coloured object peeking out of the merch table. We’ve decided to give our 2008 Self-Titled EP a makeover by re-mastering the songs and creating new packaging and artwork for a more up-to-date and fresher feel. Art all done by our very own Paige + Juliana. You can pick up a copy at any of our live shows!
