Slammin Jack is a 5-piece band from Vancouver, BC, Canada. With strong roots in funk, bluegrass, jazz and rock, their performance delivers a heavy punch spiked with funky grooves and bold explosive jams. Slammin Jack morphs and blends syncopated rhythms, four part harmonies, cunning lyrics and contagious grooves to create music that is both unique and dynamic. The eclectic mix and radical spontaneity of their music appeals to fans and has rewarded them with a strong following.
Slammin Jack surpased the 100 show mark in just over a year and a half. Deemed ‘one of BC’s hardest working bands’, Slammin Jack continues to infect unsuspecting dance floors all across the land. 2003 Highlights included: Vancouver International Jazz Festival, the release of their debut album 'a day late, a dollar short', and a 35-show cross-Canada tour which took them to the Evolve 4 Music Festival in Antigonish, NS and the Come Together Music Festival in Waterford, ON.
