biographical info

Scott MacLeod Biography Born and raised in a small community on the east coast of Canada, with its rich cultural heritage, Scott MacLeod was exposed to the power of the storyteller at an early age. This Singer - Songwriter began his music career in Prince Edward Island and moved to Calgary to immerse himself in the culture of Canada’s West. He began performing in 2001 and has established himself as a musician and songwriter with a genuine, thoughtful, and distinct personality. Scott’s songs are about moments and memories of people, places, and life experiences from the east coast to the prairies. His songs range from acoustic ballads to hard driving rock and with influences like Blue Rodeo, Neil Young, and Kathleen Edwards, there is something in his music for everyone. “…Scott understands the value of a well crafted song that has meaning and depth. These are songs that span the Canadian landscape, from western prairie to eastern coast.” - John Wort Hannam, Blue Collar Roots Musician, WCMA Nominee “… Influences such as Bob Seger and John Fogerty, but whose sound and songwriting style is something warmer, homier, and more personal. A simple and affecting rustic charm….an exceptional debut.” – Mike Bell, Calgary Sun
