-RYAN MASTERS-
Ryan
Masters was born
and raised in the small town of Alton, Ontario, Canada. He has been writing,
recording, & performing music for over 15 years.
Ryan began his career at an early age by setting up shows in the
southern Ontario Indie Rock Scene. Some might say that he was one of the
founders of the Brampton, Caledon Scene, getting bands such as: Gob, The
Constantines, Weakerthans ,Moneen, and many others to play at these
shows. These shows attracted hundreds of fans and set the path for many
successful musicians.
Ryan was the front man in
many bands such as, Patterns, Jaguar Strip, and Pinnacle People but
found his real passion in producing his own solo records. Being a
multi-instrumentalist and a focused professional in the studio Ryan has been
able to create his own unique sound. With influences from Paul Simon, Mark
Kozelek, Alan Parsons Project, Brian Wilson, Joan Of Arc & Pearl Jam
his music carries magical tales from his own experiences in the small town.
Ryan’s 10 song album A
Shadow In Kingdom Falls brought him into a professional studio and
introduced him to producer Greg Dawson ( Moneen, Five Blank Pages.)
Ryan played all of the instruments (which he preferred) and produced it with
Greg.
This album showcases his talents in arrangement skills along with catchy
hooks and innovative melodies.
A
Shadow In Kingdom Falls has opened many doors for Ryan. In 2008 he accomplished one of his goals
in life, to open for his favorite band Joan Of Arc at Lees Palace in
Toronto playing to a full house.
After being played on Toronto’s 102.1 The Edge following a very
successful new music night at the Horseshoe Tavern Ryan realizes that this is
where he belongs.
His music is widely appreciated and loved by those who have heard it and
experienced it live and continues to make an impact on anyone who listens.
With over 18 albums and
hundreds of songs created and ready to be released Ryan Masters’ main
goal is to get out and tour and introduce the rest of the world to his
incredibly original imagination.
