biographical info

This Victoria, BC supergroup (members of Immaculate Machine, ex-Paper Cranes, Clay George) started jamming Friday nights as an excuse to hang out and drink. Then the neighbours started complaining about the noise so they went to play at bars instead, requesting all pay to be in beer form. Catchy songs about mundane events, written in a matter of minutes, sound mind-blowing to intoxicated people and that is the really the story of our great success. Rugged Uncle is the people‘s band. They sing about real issues that ordinary people care about, as witnessed in the songs “Sunday Is The Sacred Day Of Baseball“, “I‘m Really Sorry Your Bike Got Stolen“ and ”The Patch (The Mannequins Are Much Better Dressed Than You Could Ever Be If You Shopped In There). Remember, you were given the gift of a moustache… let it grow free.

Rugged Uncle tour

posted by Brooke

We are breaking our year-long hiatus with a giant 3-day tour of Victoria.  Ironically, we have also written a new song called "Victoria's no fun".  Did you know that city hall here actually wants to make it absolutely impossible to find something to eat after 11pm?  Even that is pretty late for sleepy ol' Victoria.

Feb 12 - tour kickoff @ Logans w/ Frog Eyes

Feb 13 - valentines party @ 50/50

Feb 14 - homecoming show @ Logans w/ Shotgun Jimmie and Sports
