biographical info

"The Yellow Sky" Roberto Andrés is a Reggae & Hip Hop artist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Originally from the Sweetgrass First Nation, Roberto has been a rising independent force that doesn't seem to go un-noticed. On any stage, Roberto brings you into a different atmosphere leaving the audience with uplifting vibes and an ability to leave the crowd mesmerized.

Being of mixed blood (Aboriginal Cree / Chilean) standing alongside the Rastafari Movement, Roberto ties his Native roots alongside Rasta within his life, music and poetry while developing a strong conscious towards political, social and religious views. Since the age of 10, he continues to write and produce his music which blends together his diverse background and ideologies.

"I really don't feel like I've even started. On the real, it's been more than a decade since I've known how to do the things I do.. and it still feels brand new. I'mma young lion, these are my prairies. I will not go anywhere till the work is done. Really, I don't know what to call my music, but it feels good so I know it must be good. I've been all over my country and they seem to say the same thing - "Timeless" haha.. so they say."

Observance

posted by Roberto Andrés
I have walked quite the journey so far. Terrain so fierce, only the strong could survive. "As I walk, I see". Surrounded by the Great Spirit's melodies, truth can be witnessed. Patience truly is, a blessed virtue. And through life, I feel I have conquered enough to reach the peak of what I can before I take the next step. That in which I believe will be my final interlude and will evolve my musical existence. Years it has been.. finally, I feel it calling me. A voice so pure, so right.. My work is about to begin. The Creator has pointed me in directions I have learned to connect. In other words, I've been through it all. But even so, I continue to learn more & more each day. With every turn of Mother Earth, I'm guided. This will not stop, no matter the obstacle. Yellow Sky speaking. Love & Peace. Roberto Andrés
