Rise of Dawn is a hard rock/heavy metal band that has been together for a year. Consisting of lead guitarist Patrick Mihan, vocalist/rhythm guitarist Matt Di Pomponio, and drummer Nick Rusby. They have managed to complete over forty songs in the short time they have been together ranging from heavy metal to punk rock. The band has played seven shows around the Lower Mainland area. Venues such as Port Moody Inlet Theatre, Michael J. Fox Theatre and most recently Queen of All Saints Hall, where the band played their first headlining show. Main influences of Rise of Dawn are Metallica, Godsmack, and Lamb of God.
Patrick has been brought up around rock music and has been playing guitar and bass for five years. Dedicated to the art of music Patrick writes songs in his spare time for the band. His main influences are Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Dimebag Darrell, and Sully Erna.
Matt has been playing guitar for five years and just recently beginning to sing for the band. In his spare time Matt is a dedicated member of his U-18 gold soccer team. He writes all the lyrics for the band and helps Patrick write the guitar riffs when needed. Matt's main influences are James Hetfield, Randy Blythe, Tim McIlrath, Willie Adler, and Lars Frederiksen.
Nick started off with guitar three years ago and has been playing drums for a year. He has been dedicated to music his entire life. Nick writes all the drum parts and helps Matt to write lyrics where needed. His main influences are Dave Grohl, Jon Bonham, Shannon Larkin, and Neil Peart.
Rise of Dawn is always working on new material and ideas, doing anything they can to make it big.
