artist Richard Garvey

Richard Garvey is a roots and folk musician from Kitchener, Ontario.  Richard performs with a genuine voice that echoes a generation of youth that longs for environmental justice and social change. Richard began sharing his music with great encouragement from close friends to share his talents and gifts.
    
To Grow is a collection of songs inspired by a community that desires justice, collaboration and well-being. The songs explore what it means to grow as individuals and collectively. Richard searches for joy through the sorrows of pulling the weeds of consumer/worker roles from our lives to begin harvesting the fruit of intentional community.

SOUNDS
    The music ranges from folk to blues to pop melodies with guitar and voice stylings often compared to artists James Taylor, Jason Mraz, Paul McCartney, and John Mayer. The style fluxes to fit the intention, content and emotion of each song. Richard’s desire for community, justice and well-being is the constant.
