biographical info
Singer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Perrie and guitar/banjo player Jeremy Breaks have been collaborating since they met at an open jam in Vancouver in 2006. Both come from musical backgrounds, Perrie through the theatre and his grandfathers ‘61 Gibson J45, and Breaks through growing up in his father’s music store in Prince George. These days they are producing their best material yet, bringing a united focus and dedication to the music they create, and collaborating with top notch musicians.
The new album, Redgy Blackout EP, is a collection of 6 original songs of rock your pants off (“Bottom Of The Sea”), pure pop folk (“100 Cigarettes”) and heartfelt songwriting (“Once Knew You”). It’s a testament to the musicianship of the members of Redgy Blackout and their devotion to the craft; it displays a comfort and maturity with songwriting and composition with a sense these guys really like to have fun. The Redgy Blackout EP is their third recording and was produced by Elisa Pangsaeng, mixed by Tom Dobrzanski (Said The Whale, We Are The City) and recorded at Vertical and Blue Wave Studios in Vancouver, BC. In exchange for studio time, Scott and Jeremy helped build Dobrzanski's new studio in East Van.
