biographical info
Red Ram’s Stars Ablaze is an innovative album that features a vast palette of sounds and ideas. This broad album is full of cutting edge sounds, massive variation, skilled songwriting, and an appeal that is maintained from start to finish. The music has an infectious energy, and features intense lyrical landscapes and creative arrangements.
Red Ram's sound is new and old - mixing modern and vintage electronic sounds, melding trip-hop breaks with metal beats, and putting forward fresh ideas while maintaining a gritty rock and roll ethic. Some call it electro-grunge, but most feel that label is too limiting. One thing's for sure: Red Ram produces catchy tunes that smack of innovation and creativity.
Red Ram began as a duo project in Edmonton, featuring the imaginative songwriting of Mark Feduk and the prodigious production skills of Doug Organ. More recently, in the summer of 2006, virtuoso drummer Bill George and guitar player extraordinaire Sean Brewer joined the fold. Red Ram is now a group of four seasoned musicians that have each been involved in music and performance since their early youth; all 4 have toured across Canada. The varied past projects of Red Ram’s members include The Uncas (theuncas.com), Portal (portalband.com), and The Fabulous BeeFeeders (jivefromthehive.com). Red Ram is currently touring and is constantly working on new material.
