biographical info

Red Horse has recorded 8 albums in the past 5 years and has enjoyed much overseas success (though we'll never tell which seas!). Red Horse mashes genres, blending blues, folk, experimental and rock music to form a little niche in the side of a quadrophonic rock.

In the spring of 2005, Nick played his first show, opening for Victoria mainstays Run Chico Run and vincat. Later that year, he headed into Sea of Shit Studio to record his first album 'Redwood Lions'. Although Nick would later lament his warbling, the record is a good example of the god-like powers... of other people.

By December of 2005, Nick had written a fresh batch of songs and was ready to try his second studio effort. 'Smokey' was released as 2005 drew to a close and met with much critical acclaim. The Hong Kong musical magazine 'Waifu' called it: "a serious but playful record with a lot to chew on." While Nick has struggled to secure much of a following in the tough to crack Victoria, he has tramped on, recording another 6 albums in his home studio over the course of the last 5 years. Honesty is always the best policy and it's taken seriously in Red Horse.

As 2010 hit us smack in the gob, Nick decided to change things up a bit by promoting himself under the moniker 'Red Horse', taken from his last solo album 'The Last Gasp of Red Horse'. Red Horse plans to perhaps tour a little in 2010 and also hit the studio again, as he has been demoing in a new direction for the past year and a half.
