biographical info
Our story begins: Once upon a time, we were archaeologists, scraping away at the soil in our little staked-off squares - at our little cordoned-off digs - searching for bits of song, or shards of poetry to shine up and present to our peers as 'beautiful' and 'interesting' and 'magical' We are Reily. We have been playing together for just under a year. In that time we have independently released two albums, toured across Canada, been at #3 in Thunder Bay radio charts, performed to nearly sold out crowds at some of Toronto's most coveted venues such as Lee's Palace and The Horseshoe Tavern, and sold over 1500 albums since our first release in march. We are Reily. We merge folk influences with an indie rock edge. We create a sound that is familiar but unconventional, beautiful but unapologetic. We create a sound that Saint Rock and Roll Magazine (Vancouver) calls: "a new kind of sound [which is] really quite delicious."
