biographical info
Formed in 2000, The Red Hot Lovers came on the Calgary rock scene, cutting their teeth in bands such as Euthanasia, The Mants, Bionic VI, and Helvis. RHL have singed stages across the country with a full out onslaught of metal charged sonic abuse.
RHL terrorize, with a ferocious blast of sleazy, snarling vocals, and straight-ahead rock, always delivering as much as the audience needs, but never as much as it wants at their infamous live shows. RHL serve it up fast and loud in true Turbonegro, Hookers, and AC/DC style.
Their six-song "Deathride EP" is filled with rock & roll nihilism, and decadence, including "Rockhammer", "Teenage Thunder", and "Peeler". They've just released a self-titled 7", featuring Whitey Kirst, of the Iggy Pop band, on lead guitar.
Watch for their new album "Ain't Got Time to Waste in July 2002! Tour to follow!
