artist Protest the Hero

Some of you may of heard about me having a date with a razors. These rumours are in fact true, and I will be shaving in a week or so. I'm trying to raise money to donate to Locks of Love along with my hair. (They wouldn't take a beard donation) http://www.locksoflove.org The fundraising is going well, and I've yet to really push it because I don't want to feel like that nagging canvaser going door to door. I do want to raise a certain amount, because I feel that after three years of living with this beard on my face, it's not coming off for chump change. I think $500 is reasonable and a significant amount to raise (I'm $100 away from that ) but would like to surpass that and see what happens. I'm asking you if you can check out http://www.beardteamcanada.org and if you like the cause and idea, contribute to it. I think $5 is affordable and is 20 people do this, I'll easily make my goal. Of course you can be more generous or less generous it's up to you. I want to offer my beard, that might be turned into a beard wig, to the highest bidder and my mom has already contributed $100 and doesn't want it!! Unless that's weird and creepy or not possible to do. If someone knows any place that can use beard hair for something, please let me know! I will find a way to get tax receipts for anyone who donates over $20 so you can write that off as well. Please pass this on to anyone you think would be interested.

Dear filthy earthlings,

We are home for the summer, and all we've done so far is drink, gamble, fornicate, and toss around a few riffs in our whole in the wall practice space...

That said, we offer you all a new layout, some sweet NEW MERCH deals http://www.protestthemerch.com/viewproduct.php?id=39 and a few sentences of insight on what we're planning this summer:

1. no touring - until the end of august when we head to europe and hopefully alaska

2. dvd details to be announced soon - basically we have a live dvd (of a show we did in toronto) coming out sometime in the not too distant future. It will be a live dvd/cd - so anyone hoping for new material should get dissapointed as quickly as possible.

3. shooting another video that's not just us playing live in a room (don't quote me on that, we usually get tricked into playing in concrete rooms with various lights). and if you have a problem with us shooting so many videos, move to canada where the gov't looks out for it's bands. you won't be so pissed off then.

4. writing plenty a new riff and drinking bucketloads of coffee in toronto.

5. petting choady's new pooch.

Hey again, since we don't start writing full time until june 1st, some of us have been going out our trees looking for shit to do.  I have unwisely chosen to take some of that time to edit together some ridiculous nonsense.
