biographical info
Drawn by the possibilities found in live performance, Jean-Patrice dedicates himself to it. Up to then, he had been an occasional fixture at various raves since 1992, but in 1998 he found his direction after a set by Richie Hawtin at the Medialounge. The Pheek project was born soon after, with the purchase of machines which helped fuel his passion for sound.
Initially working with Mateo Murphy, the two friends played regularly at various events in Montreal, including the Medialounge, Electra, Club Unity, Mutek, as well as quite a few raves. They were also responsible for the first release on the Hautec label.
Afterwards came an important turning point, his meeting with Éloi Brunelle, This alliance would prove to be very beneficial for Pheek, who would later release his album “Paysages Matriciels”.
