Time is ticking, not a second to waste. We heard all the arguements, everyone had they say. I am Cree born and raised on the James Bay. My music speaks for those who cannot speak for too many are speaking. when i wrote songs like Waiting Here, Long Hard Raod and Can U Feel. I placed down in words and music what I as Cree person of James Bay been trying tell the rest of Canada about our history and culture from first contact with the fur trade, the exchange of lands without our consent from queen to country, the promises of the number treaties and the government policies of genocide. These songs are reminders that history is written and the future can be beautiful as the sunrise if we can take this journey together not forced away to die far from home.
