I figured I should finally break the radio silence I've put myself under since I moved up Ontario way with my lady back in February. Since moving here where I know no one (and have no desire to) I've been burying myself in projects and steadily getting work done on my new (still untitled) album with my band "Patrick Canning and The Suffering Mothers" which is now in the final stages of mixing and mastering. This album has been a lot more work then I initially thought it would, but they usually are. I hate to say it but this new album is probably even more dark and morbid then my usual offerings, but the sounds in it are the most full-bodied and masculine chest thumpers I've ever come up with. It is the first proper "band" album I've ever produced with the least amount of Me I've ever had on a record. Devon Milley will break your face with his beats, Victor Lewis will move your booty with his low end, and Alison Corbett will break your heart with her strings. I'm just trying my best not to ruin it totally right now. I'm in that stage of mixing where I'm second guessing myself on every decision I make and I have absolutely no perspective on how things would sound to anyone else. I go through this with every cd except the RPM ones (the short time frame really keeps you from second guessing anything) and hopefully it will all turn out alright. The album will be 14 or 15 songs and around 65 minutes long probably, but it's more focused and energetic then my last really long player "The Pervert". I haven't sequenced it yet so I don't know how it will all come together but some of the best material I've ever come up with is on here so I'm excited to hear what you all will think. There will be at least four videos for this album, I already have two finished (but you can't see it until the album can be sold in some form) and now I have a real computer with real video editing programs so this new shit will be High Def and slick as shit (as soon as I learn how to use these programs properly that is). Before Christmas this will be done! Even if it destroys me entirely.

Last year I started a tradition of writing the a Christmas song and making a video for it just before Christmas day. This year's song "On Christmas Day The World Ended" is my second Christmas classic, it is destined to be played in preschool Christmas pagents and Christian Bookstores across the nation for decades to come. I know I only put out a new video a little while ago, but this one I actually spent time to make it. It's for the song "crutches" off my latest album "Sex Lives of The Paralyzed" (available at amazon.com and itunes, cough cough, ahem..). it was all shot on my girlfriends digital camera and it pretty much covers the variety of sights and daily routines I go through in my everyday dreary overcast life.
