Many years ago during high school Ben Goldstein (guitar), Nathan Martin (Bass) and Phil Wright (percussion) used to play together in a band known as The Kill Decibel. This thrash metal outfit is actually still around today but a few years ago Phil quit for other pursuits.
At the same time Nathan was also in a band with Dan Parker (vocals) called Flatlyne which eventually fell to pieces.
Nathan and Ben had been working with the name PLOG for many years, which was basically the music that was too obtuse or quirky to fit into the strict limits of thrash metal with The Kill Decibel. Eventually Philip Wright joined on drums, and then Dan Parker added his schizophrenic vox. Boom! Another band of angry young men played their music for their bros and sissies in purgatory.
These tracks are from January 2004 and are simply the start of a musical relationship-- which is on a hiatus right now because Dan Parker is off in Asia to retrieve something he forgot there in a past life. He will return by September 2006 and then the PLOG pot will be brewing new sonic concoctions and performing for drunken apathetic souls across the Greater Toronto Area and then beyond.
