biographical info
Phat Bastard has been playing music together for over 2 years
now. The two original members guitarist Gideon Naef and
brother, drummer Jonathan Naef had decided too form a band.
They quickly asked, pretty much the only other bassist they knew,
luckily enough, he was good and loved the same style of music.
After a while they realised they were looking for a different
sound. They asked friend Andrew Van'Overbeke to come
and play trumpet for them. They loved the sound right
away. They stayed the four of them for a while, but soon
realised they needed one more final member. They asked
Joel Exner, Trombonist extrordinaire to come and play for
them. They did it, Phat Bastard finally had something
they could call their own! They quickly recorded a 5 song
demo at Sound of One Hand Studios in Ottawa with
engineer/producer Marty Jones, and it's a damn fine demo.
So check them out! Phat Bastard, a nice mix of punk/ska/surf/raggea from the
outskirts of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
