biographical info
Vidito picked up the guitar at about age twelve, his father teaching him the basic skills and then moving on to learn the many different tchniques of guitar on his own. A few years before this he had begun writing poetry and had developed a real love for it. Put two and two together and you have a self tought singer/songwriter who now has over two hundred original songs.
He draws his influences from many of the classic rock idols such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, John Lennon, Joe Strummer, The Band, etc. Some of the more recent artists he has found influence in are Nick Drake, Mason Jenning, Blind Melon, Buck 65, Iron & Wine, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, etc.
In September of 2004 he enrolled in The Recording Arts Program at Nove Scotia Community College and graduated in the spring of 2005 with his diploma. Taking the skills he learned in college and combining them with ever developing ever changing skills of his songwriting and guitar stylings, he has now begun to play an assortment of venues through out the city of Halifax, NS and has begun to record many of his songs at his small home studio.
There are plans of having his first album released sometime in 2006.
