Oren Barter sounds best in his world-beat/roots/Latin-suffused songs, like the opening track, New York City, and I’ll Sing You Away. A promising emerging artist from William’s Lake whose talent is aided by the deft hand of Henry Small at Small World Studios.

Oren Barter is a slim, un-intimidating young man who tends to get written off sooner rather than later, and he wouldn't have it any other way.  "I like the lack of expectations sometimes, it lets me be as big or as subtle as I want on stage.  No one looks at me and thinks, 'I bet that guy can sing!', you know?"

But he can sing!  Oren's performance has been described as 'Magical' on several occasions;  one fellow songwriter even asked, "Did that really just happen?" after she heard him perform!  Well.. yes he did, he does every time he takes the stage.  And he'll happen for you too, whether you expect it or not!
