biographical info
Drawing influences from life and death, the spectrum of human emotions
and the ideas of man Orchid's Curse is a band that writes songs which
are a delicate balance of harmony and melody with the assaulting nature
of metal. With this deep scope of influences to their music Orchid’s
Curse creates an intense and brutal music that at the same time sparks
the imagination of the brain, all of this culminates in a progressive
aggressive sound that assaults both the mind
and aural senses.
Formed in Halifax Nova Scotia in 2005 Orchid’s Curse released their
debut EP ‘Goodbye is when the Casket Closes’ (2006 - Diminished Fifth
Records) and received praise from reviews around the globe citing such
words as "Lots of drive, melodic guitars and a heavy-set dose of
aggro-intensity" (Unrestrained Magazine - Canada) and "pure aggression
with crushing elements of modern metal, death metal and thrash" (Music
Extreme - Argentina). Orchid’s Curse have proven they are a musical
force to be reckoned with. Having refined their song writing and
musicianship the band is releasing their highly anticipated sophomore
album "Voices: The Tales of Broken Men" in September 2010.
