Around the Year 1000 AD, the first non-native people set foot upon the shores of North America, they were the Vikings. The small number who landed in eastern Canada was soon driven out... but not all of them left... In the rush to escape, a few were left behind to struggle for survival in this unknown new land. But survive they did... and their descendants live on today... Named for the Norse Gods of old, Odin, Thor, Frey, Freyja, and Fenrir continue their legacy...
What was later to be Odinfist was formed in the fall of 2005... When Thor found his calling of hitting things... I mean drums... and approached Odin to request the use of his Axe. The following year brought the arrival of Frey. When he arrived after traversing the Rocky Mountains, Thor spotted him immediately and knew he was the one who would provide the crushing bass that Odinfist needed. In the spring to come, Thor, Odin, and Frey found that the great wolf Fenrir could no longer be contained by the bonds that held him, and his own axe and his snarls and howls were added to what was now the full-out Odinfist. And in this most recent summer, a certain sense of grace and beauty was added to the thrashfest of carnage, by the, only female member Freyja. Odinfist is now ready to be unleashed upon the world with 9 battle tracks to slay the inside of your skull.

The members of Odinfist are aged 18-19, 2007 graduates from Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong B.C.
